The six Wordscapes eggs, in rotation order
Each egg opens its page with the nine animals inside. After Yellow the loop starts again at Red. Only the order is fixed: how long each egg stays on offer is set by the countdown under the egg icon in your game, which the tracker below can turn into the arrival time of the next egg.

How to remember the Wordscapes egg order
The first letters of each sentence spell the loop: Red, Green, White, Purple, Blue, Yellow. The first one is the classic every Wordscapes player quotes; the next four were shared by players on r/wordscapes.

Best egg to save your hearts for
Every reward type has one best hatchable animal across the six eggs. Save your Heart Gems for the egg that holds it, then check that egg's list below to see whether you already own it and at which level. Saving for one color and skipping the other five is the Nest Egg Method, explained goal by goal with the numbers behind each egg. Limited pets are not counted, because they do not hatch from the eggs of the rotation.

These 15 pets never hatch from the six regular eggs: they came from seasonal or special events (Halloween, Christmas, Lunar New Year, and one-off promos), and their return is currently undetermined. If you own them, tick them here: they still count for goals, banking, and swap payouts.
Which egg animals are still waiting for Level 10? White
Level 10 upgrades have arrived in waves: Green Egg animals first, then Blue, then Yellow in July 2026, Purple in September 2026 (game version 3.13.50), and Red in October 2026 (game version 3.13.90). White is now the only egg group still capped at Level 7. The waves have not followed the egg rotation order (Purple came before Red), so this site makes no prediction about when the White Egg animals follow. A PeopleFun team member told the community in February 2026 that more wildlife upgrades are planned, and nothing else is confirmed. Because the rotation order is fixed, the tracker instantly knows what comes next and keeps your position saved on this device. The game does not publish how long each egg stays available, so the tracker never guesses: type the countdown shown under the egg icon and the page converts it into the local time your next egg arrives, then moves one step forward once that time has passed. Eggs are bought with Heart Gems, the hearts you collect in the game and that your pets bank. The price is displayed next to the egg on offer, on the home screen egg icon and in the egg store inside your Wildlife Collection. Duplicates of an animal that already sits at its maximum level are converted back into Heart Gems.
Has the Wordscapes egg order ever changed?
The loop tracked here, Red, Green, White, Purple, Blue, Yellow, is the same one players have been reciting with the Red Goes With Peanut Butter, Yum mnemonic, and every new egg still arrives in that order. If PeopleFun ever changes it, the change will be dated on this page, which shows when it was last updated.
Which animals hatch from each egg color?
Each of the six regular eggs contains 9 animals, 54 in total, from common to epic. This page lists every animal per egg with its rarity, reward type, and activity and nap times.
What is the Level-Up Swap in Wordscapes?
If hatching eggs levels up one of your pets, the level-up screen shows a Swap button. Pressing Swap immediately pays out the reward of the pet currently in activity, as long as the pet that leveled up is a different animal. Placing your best pet for the current event in activity before you hatch turns a level-up into an instant payout.
Does the Level-Up Swap work if the same animal levels up?
No. The instant payout only triggers when the animal that leveled up is different from the one currently in activity, so keep your payout pet in the Activity slot and level up everything else around it.
Do banked rewards get collected by a Level-Up Swap?
No. Pets holding a finished, uncollected activity stay banked through a Level-Up Swap. Only the pet currently sitting in the Activity slot pays out.
Which Wordscapes pets are limited or seasonal?
Twelve pets do not appear in regular colored eggs: Spooky Black Cat, Jack O' Lantern, Goofy Gobbler, Jolly Snowman, Santa Claws, Christmas Mouse, Rock, Herb the Hedgehog, Octopus, the Lunar New Year Horse, Wacky Inflatable Man, and Cow. They came from seasonal or special events and their return is currently undetermined.
