Wordscapes Ambassadors are volunteer players selected to help communication between the player commmunity and PeopleFun. They answer general questions, explain public information, flag repeated concerns and help stop rumors from being treated as confirmed news. They are not PeopleFun employees, they cannot alter the game, and they cannot solve account problems.
This guide keeps the current names in one place, explains what the role covers, and shows where the limits sit. I check every name against PeopleFun’s official Help Center; old announcement posts keep getting shared around the community, and several of them are out of date by now.

At my last review, the official page listed seven current ambassadors, while an earlier 2026 announcement had circulated with ten names. Three people from that announcement, David Gage, CJ Van Diepen and Amber Ray, no longer appear on the current official page. I found no public PeopleFun statement giving a reason, and I’m not going to guess.
What is the Wordscapes Ambassador Program?
The Wordscapes Ambassador Program is a volunteer community program run by PeopleFun. Its members act as a contact point between players and the company. They listen to questions and complaints in public spaces, pass broader patterns back to PeopleFun, then share information that has been approved for public release.
The closest description is a community liaison. An ambassador may explain why an event behaves a certain way, point to an official answer or report that many players are seeing the same issue. Opening a player’s account, restoring coins or deciding when a fix ships is out of their hands.
PeopleFun also says ambassadors are players first, which is worth keeping in mind: they can give context and report recurring concerns, but they hold no authority over product or policy decisions, and nobody presents them as corporate spokespeople.
What do Wordscapes Ambassadors do?
PeopleFun’s role description comes down to a handful of practical jobs that all serve the same idea: keep public information usable. In short, ambassadors can:
- answer general questions about game mechanics, event rules, scoring and known issues
- share or summarize updates PeopleFun has formally announced
- seperate confirmed information from claims that are still being checked
- correct misinformation by pointing to the official answer
- collect recurring complaints and raise the pattern with PeopleFun
- bring community feedback back to the game team
Not every request becomes a feature, and a rumor, a private conversation or an executive comment never becomes an official promise through them. But repeated themes get a clearer route back to the people who build the game, which is the whole point of the program.
For players following weekly changes, I keep a separate calendar on our Wordscapes events page. It is an independent player resource, not an ambassador or PeopleFun publication.
What ambassadors cannot do
The limits are just as important as the duties. Wordscapes Ambassadors cannot:
- fix bugs or change the game
- restore lost coins, progress, purchases or rewards
- access a player account, device or personal data
- replace in-game Support
- speed up an individual ticket
- make release, policy or product decisions
- share confidential or unreleased material
- promise a feature, fix or release date
- speak for PeopleFun beyond approved public information
If your problem concerns missing purchases, lost progress, syncing or another account-specific issue, you will not recieve account-level help from an ambassador. Use the support option inside Wordscapes so the support team can review the account securely.
If you ask me, this hybrid status is the program’s one weak spot: the title sounds official, so players expect account-level help the role was never built for. Keep the list above in mind and you will spare yourself a frustrating exchange, and spare a volunteer one too.

My rule of thumb: ambassadors explain public information and report patterns; Support handles individual accounts and tickets.
Where are Wordscapes Ambassadors active?
PeopleFun lists four main community spaces:
- the official Wordscapes Facebook page
- the official Wordscapes Facebook group
- the Wordscapes subreddit
- the official Wordscapes Instagram page
The current directory shows Facebook as the common platform, with several ambassadors also active on Instagram and Reddit. This does not make every active moderator, team leader or frequent commenter an ambassador.
How can you recognize one?
An ambassador may use an Ambassador label, appear in a pinned introduction or post approved updates and QBR summaries. The safest check is still the official list. Social labels can be copied, old introductions can remain visible, and former ambassadors may still be active players.
How do you become a Wordscapes Ambassador?
PeopleFun says it recruits ambassadors once each year and that applications typically open in January. The detailed form and deadline are shared through official Wordscapes channels.
The 2026 application announcement asked for people who:
- play Wordscapes regularly;
- are active in the Wordscapes community on at least one major social platform;
- enjoy helping other players;
- communicate clearly and respectfully.
That announcement also mentioned in-game rewards, special merchandise, contact with the Wordscapes team and the possibility of attending WordscapesCon. Applications for the 2026 term closed on February 8, 2026. The old form should not be used as a guide for the next round; dates and requirements can change.
PeopleFun does not publish a score sheet, a minimum Brilliance total or a detailed explanation of how each candidate is ranked. A large game score may show experience, but the public requirements place clear weight on communication and community activity.
Applications for the 2027 term
Applications for the 2027 term have not been announced yet. Based on the program’s own schedule, the next recruitment window is expected to open in January 2027, with the form and deadline shared through official Wordscapes channels and the “Can I become an Ambassador?” Help Center page. Program announcements and ambassador introductions also land on the official Wordscapes Facebook page, so I follow it too.
Until then, the most useful preparation is the kind PeopleFun has selected for in the past: play regularly, be genuinely helpful in at least one major community space, and build a habit of clear, calm answers. I will update this section as soon as the official application details are published.
How long does an ambassador serve?
The usual term is one year unless a different arrangement is made. PeopleFun says annual rotation can reduce burnout, bring in new viewpoints and give more players a chance to take part.
A changed list does not automatically mean that someone was removed for misconduct. A person may finish a term, step away, change availability or leave for a reason that is not public. Unless PeopleFun publishes an explanation, assigning a motive would be speculation.
A brief history of the program
2025: the first public group and WordscapesCon
The first widely announced group appeared in February 2025. The announcement named Jay Stockton, Lupita Pascual, Tami Bruce, Paul Baker, Kimberlee Mickley, Karen Kielly, Carrie Bachman, Anarak Eighty-Two, Gwendolyn Rose and Reneé Reeves.
PeopleFun later held the first WordscapesCon at its Dallas headquarters in 2025. The official page says ambassadors met the development team, shared feedback, tested upcoming features and joined community activities.
2026: annual applications and a changing roster
The 2026 application notice reposted on Reddit described the requirements, perks and February 8 closing date. A later repost of the official 2026 announcement introduced ten names.
By July 2026, PeopleFun’s live Help Center page showed seven. That gap is exactly why I use the Help Center page as the main source here: launch-day graphics freeze a moment, the Help Center reflects today.
Are Wordscapes Ambassadors paid?
The official wording describes them as volunteers, not PeopleFun employees or customer-support agents. The recruitment material has advertised benefits such as in-game rewards, merchandise, special opportunities, closer contact with the team and possible attendance at WordscapesCon.
Those benefits do not turn the role into a normal salaried job. Public material does not provide a wage, employment contract or affiliate commission. To me, WordscapesCon is the real reward anyway: coins and merch are nice, but sitting at a table with the people who build the game is something no amount of Brilliance can buy.
Do ambassadors influence game updates?
They can carry feedback and recurring concerns to PeopleFun, and WordscapesCon has included playtesting. That gives ambassadors access and a route for player feedback, but not final authority. PeopleFun’s developers and product teams decide what is built, changed or released.
The same distinction matters when reading independent data on this site. My June leaderboard report, for example, comes from my own tracking, not from anything an ambassador or PeopleFun published.
How this list stays current
Ambassador rosters can change during the year, while old announcement posts keep circulating in groups and comment threads. A list published once and forgotten can look polished and still be wrong.
I monitor the official Help Center pages on a schedule, including the roster page and the application page. When something changes, I get an alert, compare the new version with the archived one, and update the directory by hand. The block above shows the date of my last review, and the structured data of this page carries the same date. Nothing here updates itself, so a broken source page can never corrupt what you read.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an official list of Wordscapes Ambassadors?
Yes. PeopleFun has a Help Center page titled “Meet our Ambassadors 2026.” It is the best public source for the current roster.
Why do some older posts show more ambassadors?
Announcement posts record the group at the time they were published. The live official page may later change as terms or participation change.
Can an ambassador restore lost coins or progress?
No. Account recovery, purchases, syncing and missing rewards belong with in-game Support.
Can ambassadors confirm upcoming animals or events?
Only when that information has been formally announced or approved for public communication. They cannot confirm leaks or promise dates.
Can anyone apply?
PeopleFun invites applications during its annual recruitment period. Candidates are expected to play regularly, take part in the community and communicate helpfully and respectfully.
When do applications for the 2027 term open?
They have not been announced yet. PeopleFun recruits once per year and applications typically open in January, so January 2027 is the period to watch on official Wordscapes channels.
Is Reddit included in the program?
Yes. PeopleFun names the Wordscapes subreddit as one of the spaces where ambassadors may be active, although the subreddit itself is a community-run space rather than an official PeopleFun support channel.
Is Solving Wordscapes connected to the Ambassador Program?
No. Solving Wordscapes is an independent fan resource. This page reports public information and links back to the official sources.
